Hello,
Just bought a Boss Micro BR - it's an amazing bit of kit, a few limitations, but fantastic value.
I have a query though - can anyone point me towards a decent surf drum pattern - all I seem to be able to find is rock, blues or jazz (+ a few others) and nothing really 'surfy'. I've recorded the basic surf drum pattern from the Hydrogen drum machine, but I'm not sure if the tempo of this can be changed. Is this the only way? Cheers

OK. The more I use this bit of kit, the more impressed I am with it. I solved the 'surf' drum problem by making a drum track using Hydrogen, saving it as a .wav file then moving it to the SD card (in the mp3 folder). Then I imported it to a track at measure 00:00:00 and in it goes, synchronised and everything. Just added a drum track to a bass line that Adam did yesterday - it's perfect.
One drawback with the Boss Micro BR is the lack of support for an SD card bigger than 1GB, especially when I had a 2GB card. I solved this problem by partitioning the card on a Mac to two 1GB partitions. The BR initialised one of these and it works fine.
Now I've worked out how to do these to things and how to manage more than one song, I'm starting to love the little silver gadget. Not the easiest thing to operate, but everything you need is there, somewhere!

If my memory serves me correctly, I think POP8 might have been the closest arrangement I found for a surf accompaniment.
Thanks for the tip about the SD card. I have a second card that I haven't used yet, and was planning to take it on a trip next week. I'll try it and format it before I go.
I concur with 'not the easiest thing to operate.'
