to answer your question, i'm looking forward to seeing every band.....but i'm most excited about jon and the nightriders because the live at the whiskey album is what really got me into surf music......listening to it and playing it.

for anyone that missed Ray Boylan show, that I was on talking about the SG101 convention. it can be heard in the archive here: and some of the Jungle drums by the Madeira has been added to the end before the end, I guess all their shows have to be under 50 min. Hey Fady! I'm stoked you'll get to make it out here again. What pre-shows are you attending? Let me know if you need a ride to a show or something (not sure if you're renting wheels or not). I'd be happy to pick you up on the way somewhere. My reverb vacation starts tomorrow. Heading up to NorCal for the El Ray & Los Venturas shows this weekend. Then back to SoCal for a whole week off so I can hit up all the pre-shows and not have to worry about getting up early for evil work! Me and Jeff BTD and JonPaul are making the NorCal trip together. It's going to be an excellent rum-filled and reverb-drenched weekend!!!!

I assume all the out of towners are staying in Los Al or HB, but if any out of towners are staying in South OC, I can provide free transportation. I have a Ford Escape that seats 4, plus extra cargo room. I have Friday Aug 10 & the following Monday off work. Planning on going to Dons on Friday to see Outerwave, 9th Wave, Los Venturas & of course Saturday's convention. |
