You have my sympathies. What started out as a simple, fun, innocent idea has degraded into what this has become. Very sad.

I wouldn't blame you for deleting or at least blocking the entire thread. Can we all please just go back to talking about relevant surf related stuff and keep the personal political stuff to ourselves? It's not what I come here for, and I suspect that's true for a lot, if not most of us.

That's all I have to say on the matter.

Or you could just ignore threads that are of no interest, there are plenty here that are not relevant to surf music. No need to lock a thread if someone still wants to post to it. People can't even agree on which guitar is best for surf so everyone is not going to agree on anything.

I'm a graphic artist too BTW, and as you probably know, in this corporate/commercial world it's very common to attach graphics to individuals. It's that genocide thing that's really wrong...
What I'm saying, there's no need to take the other extreme (IMHO of course) and renounce all symbols, all national pride. Diversity's good. It would maybe be a bit easier, on a superficial level, to accept each other if we were all the same, without any insignia or "tribal connection", sure, but a hell lot more boring too. We have to learn to deal with each other with respect, the way we are (as long as no killings are going on...)

I couldn’t have put it better! By the way, I’m in the non-conformist tribe – obviously rare.
