What guitar are you using to play that?
I've used a Jaguar with Curtis Novak vintage style
pickups (bridge pickup in this song), into a RI tank,
into a '62 blonde bandmaster ...
... and turned it up really loud
i use a Curtis Novak in the '51 RI Precision bass...Novak makes excellent pickups that sound just right...

I enjoyed listening. All the best to you and your band. BTW I enjoy skiing in Austria. So far I've been to (please excuse the spelling) Innsbrook, Ischgl, Hentertux, St. Antion, Kitzbuehl, St Christoff, Lecht and Zurs. The Austrian people are always very kind and helpful when an American skier is lost.

Hi guys,
time for a small update. Our band "Wetter" just had our first gig last Saturday in Vienna at the "Literaturhaus". And it was great! We had support of some young poets that made haikus for each of our songs that were recited before each song.

What amazed us the most was the positive reaction of the (small) crowd to our music - some were even dancing. Of course we made a lot of mistakes but all in all it didn't matter ...

Don't sweat the mistakes... You are playing in front of people! Not everybody can or gets to do that. Awesome !!

Thank you guys! We were really having a great time at our first gig!
Our next gig will be next week on Friday 13th in Bad Gleichenberg in southern Styria. But there are already plans for playing in Vienna again this autumn. I'll let you know!

No Bass player?
well I guess it worked for the Bel-Airs,
but they did have a Piano player.

congrats and continued success.

Looks great. Congrats.
It's always amazing what a positive reaction a crowd has to surf music. It just makes people smile. And I suspect the folks playing the music are the only ones noticing the mistakes - at least that's my experience. Do you have any video clips of the gig?
