This is the link to my video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQIFlgmIlwU

This story got me started learning guitar, for the second time. The first try was in about 1958, but I didn't like the local music teacher, and practicing.

I grew up in Glendora, and remember when the Surfaris were doing tryouts. I knew Dale Smallin from starting a bicycle safety movie as a younger kid, that he produced. I made my first skate board out of a 1x4 and a steel skate, and borrowed dad's Pendleton shirts to hit the sock hops. But I only learned to body surf. I was on the edge of that magical time.

After I caught these guys in my parking lot on Whidbey Island, with surfboards, I ran home to get my camera, and this video is the result. I needed surf music. I couldn't get the local high school kids to whip out a few surf beats. So I got on line, and found Paul Johnson, but he wanted big money for any of his music. So I bought a guitar and a book of surf tunes. I would like to say I played the music in this video. I have leaned to play a few licks since then, and am looking for that perfect reverb. Read the credits at the end if you don't recognize the band.
