I never let genre get in my way,I play what I feel depending on the gig, they dig it or they don't. I think some of the most exciting music I hear today is a compilation of different genres, slammed together in a creative way that somehow manages to work. Love the Daikaiju clip, theres a definite surf element to it and other things as well.

Daikaiju is definitely surf. Look at their gear! Blonde Fender piggyback amps with reverb tanks and Fender guitars! ;D

Ummmm...Daikaiju don't use blonde piggybacks. I know that Santanu uses a silver face bassman head.

THE KBK ... This is the last known signal. We offer Sanctuary.

I was being facetious. Sorry it didn't come across, but with all the talk in the gear forum on what is the right gear... Whatever
However, if you do look at the U-tubes of them at Huntington (Big Tiki Dude's video in this thread), you will see blonde piggybacks. Must have been a backline provided to them for the west coast gig.

When I put on the SG101 convention and day after HB pier gig,
Matt Quilter of the Reventlos provides the back line of amazing brownface
blones guitar amps, and a Blackface dual showman for Bass
oh and Reverb tanks too.
