The Tritons have posted some video:

Everybody Up! (The Fender IV)
Retaliation (The Chantays)

Love it!

Also love it! Killer guitar work!

Cool to see these posted here! Thanks! It was a great gig for us, much fun on a beautiful day.

I may be able to carve out another song or 2 from the footage in the near future.

That would be great, Chris! It was great to finally get a chance to see the band. (I know there've been some earlier attempts.) I've always enjoyed the audio access in places like MySpace and even purchased some of the cuts when that function was briefly working! You folks are one of my favorite less accessible bands.

Any chance you folks would ever play Instro Summit or similar meets? I'm asking as a now one-time attendee of IS and pretty regular at SG101, not in any official capacity.

well, my day job is web/design/marketing/social networking related so The Tritons should be more accessible & available online with a professional huckster like myself helping out, lol.

Yes - we do love to play and if an event fit our calendars I am sure we would be interested.

edit: btw, all of our band updates and new info is currently coming from the facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/TheTritons - "Likes" would be apreciated! Hucksterism in action.

Does this page replace the FB group? I may be out of date!

For Instro Summit, which in NC seems semi doable from MD - OK it is two states away - talk to Crispy Bess. This annual event is currently roughly a year away again and, of course, in a very real sense its anticipated recurrence is dependent on the continued heroism of Bess. (As SG101 in LA is on that of Jeff Hanson.) See posts on this site and on FB and YouTube, etc.

yes, the old group is no longer being updated

this is the place for the latest & update-est: www.facebook.com/TheTritons

NC is not too far, but I have to prepare you that sometimes this happens when we play....

Bro-tard in action,
funny, but at the same time,
cool that he is getting into it.

in a "Notice me everybody" kind of way

Jeff(bigtikidude)

And, just in case anyone missed it, the song is Banzai Pipeline.

As far as the dancing, I have seen the same sort of thing at Huntington Beach Pier shows. It hasn't reached Denver surf shows, but never complain if someone is dancing. It seems to me that most dancing is a notice me kind of thing. This would be an extreme case, but not different in principle from a swing dance pair going through some fancy moves. Maybe less chance of someone getting a splinter in their butt.

Ha. The hat makes it for me, skilz!

it is very nice to play a well attended set with an enthusiastic crowd every once in awhile! Smile
