Her is my surf green Fender MIA.

I know some dosen't like matching headstocks, but somehow it works with surf-green and rosewood.

I love matching headstocks! I wish Fender did it more often. My dream Fender is an AVRI Jag in ice blue metallic with matching headstock. Where did you get this great looking Strat?! ..and what year is it?

I bought it used, it's a 1995 model. At that time they were only made in surf green a few months.

Gorgeous Strat...nice find! I know someone who has the Ocean Turquoise one. Yes, those were a special run--very limited. You have one from the first batch! Here's what I just dug up:

(With Matching Painted Headstocks)
January 1995 to June 1995 (757) Surf Green, (766) Burgundy Mist
June 1995 to December 1995 (708) Ocean Turquoise, (709) Candy Apple Red

I had the same guitar for years. Bought it new in '95. When I walked into the Guitar Shoppe in Laguna and saw it, I knew it would be mine. Played it for 10 years and traded it for same color ’62 AVRI strat with Abby wound pickups. I miss the matching headstock though. Congratulations on a great guitar.

Your Surf Green guitar looks great. I am one of those that likes the matching headstock, but only with certain colors/finishes. Surf Green is definitely one of them.
