Permalink Laika & the Cosmonauts "The Amazing Colossal Band"

"And Suddenly You Run" from the Zero Gravity album connects with me more than their others. So much so that my band plays it, and we all enjoy it. We changed it in several ways we like. Everyone old enough says it sounds like the Jackie Gleason theme song ("Melancholy Serenade"), but that's only the first part of the melody. It's a showy song that takes my fingering all over the fretboard, with 8 fret slides and other weirdnesses.
