I heard an explaination once by a musician (I can't remember whom) who said that the reason audiences don't clap (or snap their fingers) all together is that musicians snap on two and four, while everyone else snaps on one and three. That makes sense. I do it. I can't help it; I've done it this way so long I can't remember before I did. Even if I force myself to snap my fingers on one and three to something like Fly Me to the Moon I'll switch to two and four almost immediately. I come up on one and snap on two on the way down.

Whether or not it annoys anyone depends on whether anyone else around me is a musician.

Okay. I confess it's a slow day here. Lousy weather outside. Kids are done with school and I'm taking a break from playing my Jaguar while watching my daughter enjoy being stuck inside.
