Got an extra copy of this killer compilation for sale. EX condition vinyl and cover.
image
Here's the tracklist:
A-side
1. The Illusions – "Jezabel"
2. The Vistas – "Moon Relay"
3. The Avengers VI – "Heartbeat"
4. Dave & The Customs - "Ali Baba"
5. The Nation Rockin' Shadows – "Anesthesia"
6. The Newport Nomads - "Blue Mallard"
7. The Goldtones - "Gutterball"
8. The Chevells - "Let There Be Surf"
9. The Progressives - "Hot Cinders"
B-side
1. The Gestics - "Rockin' Fury"
2. The Phantoms - "XL-3"
3. The Irridescents – "Bali Ha'i"
4. The Avengers VI – "Good Humor Stomp"
5. The Chevells - "Riptide"
6. The New Dimensions – "Cat On A Hot Foam Board"
7. The Goldtones - "Strike"
8. Tommy & The Hustlers – "Diggin' Out"
9. The Lonely Ones – "Miserlou"
The price on this is a little lower because the hole in the center of the record is a little off-cut. Getting it onto and off of the turntable is kind of a pain in the ass, but it plays fine.

I did spend a day on a well-thrashed Dunstall Norton 750 once. No stands at all so I had to lean it against trees and walls where ever we stopped. What a great old warrior that was. One-kick starts all day long. Looked just like this one, only ratty:

Norton is awesome. I miss the printed catalog. It has been my one stop shop since for 20 years. Be careful, you will get sucked into the vortex too.

Too late. Does anybody here have any idea how many surf/instro records I've bought since joining SG101? I coulda bought a new AVRI Jaguar! Or new Hallmark Custom 60! Or the Johnny Marr Jag!
I just realized that. Oh nooooooo! Well, at least the records sound better than I do.

Noel,
I was just wondering, how many cds and or records has this guy got since he joined here.
I would guess as least 100 on the low side.
good start, let me know when you get to 1000,
and then I will tell ya how many some of us hard core guys have.

Jeffe, your 1000+ disco records and Spice Girls rarities don't count.

It's no contest Jeff. One year of steady but carefully selected purchases can't hope to catch up to those who've never stopped steady volume buying. I am impressed by record collections in the several to many thousands. I wouldn't mind having one of those myself.
I have not bought enough records to pay for a new Dana Moseley-built Mosrite guitar. Now THAT would be something.

Here's a direct link to Norton's instro comp LP page: http://www.nortonrecords.com/lps_instro_comps.php Several other must-haves on there and I would especially recommend the following of the currently available and more affordable stuff:
image
(The later CD version also includes the great but out of print Wail On The Beach comp)
image
Classic GNP Crescendo comp exact reissue

All volumes are great

All volumes are great

Back in print! (I payed at least $30 for a used copy some 10 years ago). All volumes are great.

One of only a few examples of how live surf music once sounded. Also great to hear the teen crowds going wild!
Wax 'Em Down is of course boss as well but maybe not at $75... (I payed no more than $50 for mine just a few years ago).

And an alternative for Europeans who prefer ordering within the EU, the Diggin' Out comp can be had for €11.90 from Crypt Records: www.cryptrecords.com (in the Instrumentals & Surf section) along with a lot of other great stuff.
