There are a few things that are iconic about the Surf Coasters--the matching guitars (Strats or SGV's), the power trio of Shigeo, Kuri, and Naotaka. Neat to see them before that all got streamlined... and still kicking ass! Always! Top

The original members only played together for a couple years before dropping out. In this video, Kuri is on bass, and as you can see he hasn't become the onstage personality that we saw when they toured the USA. I have seen the Ebisu Onsen footage, and have begged them to dig it up for me, but apparently it was misplaced during an office move. It was really wild, they were wearing wet suits, masks and snorkels when they played.
