Permalink Mad World (Tears for Fears) Surf Version

I'd say a successful surf conversion all in all. Why successful? For me the melody holds it's own, in a way that propels the song and the listener forward. I do think they could have done some more work on the arrangement. I like the big live sound too.

It was good enough to give me that "why didn't I think of that?" feeling. I got the impression it was a mostly-rock guitarist trying to sound surfy without knowing much about the genre (I could be wrong). Still, it was a neat idea.
