Ok, so 16 year old Mad Maxx hit me up the other day asking for a backup band for a last minute gig he scored at his Fountain Valley High School for a festival show. This Friday night!
I wanna help the kid out. I could only imagine how cool it would be to perform in front of my peers back in high school like that. He's stoked.
I'm gonna play rhythmn guitar for him, but we need a drummer, and possibly a bass player. Shoot me a PM if interested. He has a pretty cool setlist ranging from Nitro to Margaya to K-39 to Pipeline to etc. Should be fun.
Check out Maxx here jammin' with us: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q87eff5Ltrw
Cheers.
Billy

Billy, that is seriously awesome!! That's a very nice thing you're doing for young Maxx! I very much hope you can find a happening rhythm section and make this happen. And make sure somebody records at least a part of it! Good luck!

Darn! If there was more advance notice, I'm positive we could've gotten something together to help Maxx out. I'll be out of town for work, otherwise I would've done it in a heartbeat! We gotta help out ANY youngsters that show that much interest and enthusiasm for Surf!!! Best of luck, everyone!
