Have you seen the whole concert DVD? Are you in any crowd scenes?

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

There's a concert DVD? I had no idea! I was up in the balcony, I seriously doubt I'd be in any of the scenes. (It really wasn't a good concert. The Ventures seemed like they'd rather be napping. Gerry McGee most certainly did. I came to really dislike his playing after that show. I saw them again in '08, ten years later, with Nokie on lead and Bob Spalding on rhythm, and it was a GREAT show, light years away from what I saw in '98.)

So ... you have no real desire to see the concert again? You can if you want to.

Thanks Bill for the video link, I had not seen it, and fabulous. I was also at that show. That was the first Ventures performance I had ever gone to, and I was ultra excited about it. Ivan, keep in mind this was more of an awards type show, and featured the U.S. Air Foce Band, Singing Sergeants, plus they were in more formal attire, so could be why they less rocked it than you may have liked. They played two other in-area gigs thereafter, that I also went to. I saw them recently slideshow: http://www.flickr.com/photos/seesaw8/sets/72157629396179570/show/
and the 'magic' was still there.
I will put Bill's video link up on a page I posted photos from that show http://tunefan.com/darhall.htm

I love Gerry's playing, but not necessarily within the Ventures. His style is more along the lines of James Burton and I've never thought it clicked with the Ventures.
