I just got the Madeira's "Tribal Fires", and found a copy of "The Huntington Cads Go Exotic".

I got it used for $10.00 from an Amazon seller. Been looking for a reasonable copy for a long time. (There's another one there for $11.00). I also found a copy of "Spaghetti II" from an Amazon seller for $11.50, and jumped on it, but haven't received it yet. life is good! —Bob Last edited: Mar 13, 2012 12:41:22 |

A good month so far for surf music! I've been listening to The Madeira for a couple weeks, just got The Bradipos IV, The Space Agency and The Deadlies. Reviews to follow. Buy Speed of Dark @ Bandcamp |

Ferenc, your raving review of the Shockwave CD is what convinced me to pick it up, so I'm looking forward to your reviews of all of these. (Who knows, I might just pick up that Tribal Fires CD, too - though I doubt it, I don't think the band's all that competent....) —Ivan Last edited: Mar 13, 2012 15:29:09 |

Just to be sure everybody knows I am joking, and not insulting Ivan or the band. Jeff(bigtikidude) |

It was pretty clear. So was Ivan talking shit about his own band. It'd take a real special case to misinterpret both of those. —That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it. |

Nice score Fady! You probably know that third one has an extremely badass version of The Wedge! — |

Martin Cilia, Revenge of the Surf Guitar. My band mates and I saw him last weekend at Don's and he was amazing. Best $20 I've spent on surf music since buying PJ's Surf Drumming DVD. —Craig Skelly Little Kahuna |

Found this little gem on the bay. Cost a few more bucks than I would normally spend, but hey, that's what tax return money is for! |

My 80s surf collection is slowly coming along:
The flash on my phone is apparently dying. I'm nevertheless excited that I've found a cheap(ish) Surf Raiders LP. After listening I really enjoyed it. It's a really solid trad album with no done-to-death standards. I like. —Hot Summer Comes Again! Last edited: Mar 28, 2012 22:51:58 |

Just ordered this import "Eleki Karaoke Best Hits" (thanks for the recommendation, Rich!): Luckily there was one left for $23 from a seller on Amazon, I really wanted this for the quality backing tracks. — |
