Cheerwine...mmmmm...Surprisingly, this isn't something often found in Alabama.

Happy to see the May dates, Crispy. Thought I would have a conflict (end of April) but this dilemma has now been averted. I have this on my calendar and will put some gasoline in the tank (Fill 'Er UP) soon!
Would have loved to see a Hallmark guitar up for raffle, but Bob is not a large volume producer, so the donation of a Hallmark guitar being out of the question is not a big surprise. He does participate in our Ventures East Coast Fan Fest (PA - October), but he brings a display setup and looks to make some sales...however, no guitars are donated to the cause. (But some of The Ventures do show up!) Great to see VG magazine with the Instro-Summit this year...one of my fav magazines. See you good folks in May.

Okay, Robby Poore and I finally found the time to finish up the 3-day pass design for this year, so advance tickets are finally ready for action. If you haven't contacted me there yet and want some, email me at instrosummit@gmail.com If you have, they're in the mail today--I swear!

Schedule update:
Sunday's lineup has changed a tad; our buddies the Krektones just got a very lucrative offer to play elsewhere that same night, so they're bowing out this year. I'll miss 'em, but can't blame 'em for going where they money is.
In their place will be a brand-new band to the Summit, Wilmington, NC's THE METEOR MEN. The switch may constitute a bit of juggling the band order that night; once I get confirmations from everyone involved, I'll post the new order.
--Crispy
PS--Just got the Chip of the Month Club certificate from UTZ; they took the extra effort to laminate the rascal, obviously aware that we're giving this thing away in a bar. Smart!

Man the fellows and I are stoked to be included in this years line-up!! (The Meteor Men)
We have a gig that Friday, but I plan on being there Saturday and then we perfom Sunday.
I look forward to meeting all of you and hearing some of the best live music on the East Coast.

Okay, the lineup change has been made. I updated the first post on the first page of this thread, but in case you missed it, here's Sunday's new lineup:
Sunday, May 6th:
7pm--3rd Expression
8pm--The Meteor Men
9pm--The Monterreys
10pm--The Rebel Surfers
11pm--Thee Icepicks
12am--NoSeRiDerS
1am--Concrete Rivals
I also added our good buddy DJ Bumpadelic to the roster--a glaring omission on my part.

Just ordered the top prize for this year's Summit Raffle: A DiPinto Galaxie 4 Guitar. Should have raffle tickets ready to go by the end of next week, if all goes well.

Very cool Crispy,
did they donate that, or are you having to pay for it?

Alas, yes and no. I did have to pay for it, but I got it at cost, and Chris Dipinto paid the shipping, threw in a case, and gave me a mess of T-shirts to give away. Not what I wanted, but the cost is low enough that I hope to override the initial financial burden with additional raffle ticket sales.

PS--I very nearly had two raffle guitars to give away: Earlier this week I nearly won an uber lowball bid on an Ebay guitar. I was the only bidder on the thing for nearly three weeks until one other guy swept in and outbid me by three bucks! I knew it was a long shot, but what a last-minute tease!

Bumz will have a DiPinto player at The Summit. Guess Ludwig blew you off cause most of us Luddy players buy, trade, and use drums they sold 40+ years ago! Did you try: Boss Pedals, Remo, Evans or Aquarian Drumheads, Zildjian, Buck Knives...Link Wray used one to slice his speaker for the effects on Rumble! Paul Reed Smith lives less than a mile from me. Happy to shove a promo pack into his Mail Box.
Also Jimmy Lester and Scott Esbeck may have some old masks to be raffled. Leon Taylor should donate all his drums! I digress. Can't wait to get to Chapel Hill. Too bad abut Duke, heh, heh, heh

I was just telling Jason Dickey of the Moneterreys about that; the people in North Carolina kept telling me I need to contact people at Conn-Selmer's HQ in Elkhart, and the Hoosier people kept telling me I needed to contact people in Cacklacky! I wish they just would've said "no" and been done with it!

I hope so as well. Mouse is top notch, which is very difficult to come by with venue owners these days.

Our first cheezy video promoting the Instro Summit Raffle is up for watching! Here me and Bryon Settle from Killer Filler show off the Valco "The Stooge" octave fuzz, one of two we got from Eastwood Guitars.

Best I can tell, the Valco pedals are pretty nice and priced just right. I have been tinkering with picking up this fuzz for some time.
