Selling my original ProCo Rat. This is as snarly and juicy as it gets - Codes date it to around 1986, I believe, so it's pre-LED and has the vintage LM308 everybody's after. Serial is RT-051XXX.
Amazing pedal, amazing tone. Still has the battery door and screws, and no mods that I'm aware of.
SOLD

Wow, do I feel old looking at this post. It's scary sometimes to think that previous "daily driver" gear is now considered "vintage!?"
Back in the late 80s when my Thrash band Wardance was playing all over LA, this pedal was what pushed my Marshall JCM 2555 half-stack to its optimum heaviness. And, yes, the tool for that job was a Candy Apple Red ESP M-1 Custom with a Duncan Full Shred Humbucker. Man, how times have changed!!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

One of the great pedals!
Truly!! I've been developing my own take on the Rat circuit, but even with that I really don't want to get rid of this one, simply because it's just so damn rawkin!
And I know what you mean, Jon. I've even seen guys throwing around the v-word on Rat pedals from the 90s, which is pretty crazy.
Rat is SOLD.
