Watching and catching up on Northern Exposure on DVD. On Season 4 right now. I watch it during my lunch break here at work. When it was on TV, watched some of it, but not all. Great show with odd characters.

Since my son wants to major in make up /special EFX, he has us watching Face-Off Sci-Fi Network on Cable. I watch some of Food Network shows, since I like to bake.

We watched premiere of Walking Dead. Not bad. Glad to see they're exploring away from the farm. They spend way too much time on it.

I figure that's why he changed gears and called Man vs. Food Nation. His doc probably told him that one more pigfest would kill him. So he just samples the food but then gets some local schmuck to take the challenge.

Now it looks like he has a new show. Or maybe it's just old footage repackaged.

That was one of the TV greats in my opinion, really excellent writing. (At least up until Joel Fleishman left, I stopped watching them after that.)

You didn't miss much after that. It's the same as when any main character leaves. He's often replaced with a new character that kind of looks like the original but has less of a personality. Before that, the show was great.

For more or less an English take on that, check out Doc Martin. Big city doctor thrust into a tiny country village full of quirky characters.

Beavis & Butthead Season 4 , released this week.
This is the new season, uncut.
I watched about 1/3 of it. So far, I give it a 2.5 star rating.
Now they rip on jersey shore, teen mom & a music video here & there.

I remember when Fleischman left and saw 1 or 2 episodes with the english couple, it was awful, turned it right off. Doc Martin, don't remember that show. Will check it out. Thanks, hl

One of my all-time favorite films and something that is part of the sound-track of my youth. Fiddler on the Roof.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

"Ultimate Weapons" on the Military Channel. "Sniper Rifles". I want a Barrett M-107, .50 cal. Reach out and touch someone at a mile and a half! I promise to only use it on BAD people!

Several stores near me sell those. Two clubs near me have ranges where they can be used.

Doc Martin is a UK production. Craig Ferguson is one of the producers. You can usually catch reruns on cable. I think it's on some of the PBS stations. We've been watching it on Netflix.

I plan to get something similar (maybe something that just uses .308) whenever I finally find a house with plenty of land, y'know, so I can shoot cans from several acres away. Big Grin

TONIGHT: MC5 A TRUE TESTIMONIAL in tribute to another legend who has passed on, Michael Davis. This film got snagged from being released because of song rights issues and what not, but you can find it if you really want to check it out. Haunting and fascinating, one of the best Rockumentaries ever.

It's really too bad that one's tied up in litigation ... one of the best documentaries I've ever seen, music or otherwise.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.
