Surf music fake book?

I have 2 expensive Japanese import playalongs for the Ventures m(tab with CD). They are as good as it gets and helped me to learn the material. I could be talked into selling one or both, if anyone is interested. And this is a great place for Hank Marvin tabs and playalongs: Mustang Music As you can see, I am a sucker for this kind of stuff and relied on this sort of thing when I was new to surf. But back to the original post...I wish there was a simple surf fake book. I would be nice to be able to bring a book to jam sessions. I have had plans to make one for myself someday. Top

In that community, a lot of players use "grilles" for the chord changes for songs. It looks more like a table in Excel than sheet music - 1 measure per block. Small enough to fit on a 4x6 card and easy to follow once you get the hang if them. Have any of you used charts like these? Top

Lots of people call those "Nashville notes": basically chord changes listed out in order they occur. I have a ton of those for surf tunes, they are great. Top

I have mapped out many tunes using a grille approach. Surf/instro can be a bit of a challenge to chart since the songs often depart from standard AABA...part of its charm, I think.
