Your pic doesn't show but here you go, Benny. That’s an insanely rare record! I’ve never seen that LP in person. I understand in goes for $500 if you can even find it. I always dug Morpheus since I first heard it on the comp GET A BOARD from early nineties. It sounds like they must have been inspired by The Astronauts' super wet tick, tick, tick. They also do Movin’ and Baja which the Astronauts did.

I did a little searching and I came up with this…

The Toads LP 64-021 #12611/12612

Track listing :
Morpheus
Movin'
Stranger on the Shore
Sleepwalk
Baja
Will You Still Love Me?
Checkmate
You Can't Sit Down
A Love Affair
New Wrinkle
Penetration
Ebb Tide
Medley : Money, Wipe Out,What'd I Say')
Guitar : Rog Hegeman
Bass : Pat Lynch
Drums : Dusty Stretch
Lead singer : Ben Kitchen

From 1964, out of Lawrenceville,New Jersey, comes The Toads with their self-titled LP on no name label. It was produced by Kenneth Raymond Wight Associates,Princeton New Jersey. The group was the pride of the Lawrenceville Prep School in Lawrenceville,New Jersey. The group was anchored by Dusty Stretch on drums. They formed out of Davy And The Badmen and The Chessmen, another Lawrenceville band. On the back of the Get A Board LP it also says they were named The Toads "because they really jump"! Rimshot, please.

Norton still sells the comp GET A BOARD and a bunch of other great Surf&Drag comps...

But there's no indication that they did anything else and no one has put out a full length re-issue of the Toads LP that I know of.

Dude,
thanks for all that Info Norm,

Holy Grail surf LP for sure.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Last October I linked to an auction for a copy in VG condition that finally sold for $262. The link still works:

http://surfguitar101.com/forums/topic/16603/

The seller writes that there were only 100-150 of these pressed. Holy Grail, indeed. It would make a great reissue for Sundazed.

How do you get a name like Dusty Stretch anyway?

Gonna lock this thread in preference to the older one:
