Did it sound in the store like it did in the video? Or did you get other sounds out of it? |

I agree with ludobag's description. I also have the Boss '63 Reverb FRV1 pedal and adding this gives me a total of 3 choices for the reverb effect/level. I don't use "full DRIP" on every song... It does kill an Alk. battery in about 3 hours, or less. The red 2 letter pre-fix, hidden by the spring, is " PH ". $266 on Amazon... as opposed to $280+

I bought one online, being persuaded by Kid Anderson's video. Not sure whether I just got a not good one, but there was a really obvious ringing in the tail of the reverb sound. There at all mix settings. It sounded really great but for that. I'm guessing the pan was somehow slightly microphonic. Couldn't live with that sound, so sent it back. At which point I caved and grabbed a used Topanga. |

Conceptually similar to the Van Amp unit maybe? ... http://vanamps.com/products/sole-mate/ |

Had a Van Amps reverb long ago. The Headroom is drippier. Were it not for that strange ringing, I'd have kept it. |

I like that the Carl Martin Headroom gives you 2 choices, for reverb settings, that are foot-switch-able. I did wish I could get a little more brightness and drip (when compared to a Fender '63 re-issue Reverb tank). The transport lock-down mechanism has a large foam pad on it, which even when released, is very close to the springs. I easily removed the complete transport latch/lock-down assy. and reassembled. Now I have more drip, more treble and more range on both controls. Having a lock is nice but I can be careful, when transporting, to gain the tone and drip improvements... —give me 3-fingers of 1st Wave SURF |
