Silvertone 1429

Hardshell Case Included-For Sale $850 (paypal'd & shipped)
(Trade see below)

Pictures: http://gallery.me.com/derekirving#100099

Year: 1964
Pickups: 3 x Dearmond/Rowe (Fantastic)
Parts: All original pickups, wiring, electronics, frets and tuning keys

Changes: The input jack on these guitars was put in a bad spot and was cracked. I put a silver input jack plate to proceted the weak point. The jack plate is the same as a les paul's.

The guitar is simply a knock out to play. The guitar's neck is fat but not a baseball bat fat just fatter than a strat closer to a les paul neck. It feels great and sounds better. If you've never heard these Dearmond/Rowe pickups you're in for a treat. They are about 10K on the resistance, but they are not muddy or dark at all. They are artulate mellowy bright and responsive. Six pickup knobs (one volume/tone each) and three pickup switches for a bunch of variations. My favorite pickups are the bridge alone and the neck alone. But you can mix all three on, or bridge + neck on, or neck + middle on, etc. This is a players guitar so there are the normaly wears of a 45+ year old guitar (scratches, wear, etc) and the Silvertone logo is missing half of the logo (I've seen replacements on ebay). I've seen this guitar used for rock, country, blues and jazz it's a very unassuming versite guitar.

(Trades I'm interested in hearing about is if you have one of the following late 1950's - mid 1960's amps in the 12-30 watt range: Gibson GA40, Silvertone 1472 or 1482, Danelectro, Supro, National, Ampeg, Vox, fender deluxe, - along these lines with either 2x6V6, 2x6L6 or 2xEL84) PLEASE NOT INTESETD IN GUTIAR TRADES OR AMPS WHICH ARE NOT ALONG THESE LINES unless it's a 65 Amps. Depending on the amp it might not be a straight trade could be amp + bit of cash.
