I see Beachkrieg is on there too, the world's only WWI German themed über surf band. Meshugga Beach Party has just booked a show with them and The Go Going Gone Girls at Thee Parkside on 11/18. I'll post it on show announcements when I get the poster.

DJ Zero Gravity - who is on the air at 9pm right after the Reverb Hour - complained that the bass was not in tune on the Rhythm Boys' Chinese Surf - what do you think?

Thanks Mary for playing Voodoo Court - it was a very good show as always. Your plug for the Tikiyaki Orchestra New Years show reminded me that I hadn't ordered tickets yet so that little prodding got me off the couch long enough to do it. There are still tickets available hint, hint.

This archive file begins with some surf by guys named John - the theme from the first 2 hours of the show. Then I played a lot of rare surf tracks from copies given to me by former KFJC surf DJ Phil Dirt - you might find a band or tune that you haven't heard before.

That was a great show last night Mary. I actually got to hear it live as we were driving down the peninsula. I hadn't heard a lot of those songs since PD was on the air; that is quite a treasure trove of music on those discs! Use them well!

Thanks, Ferenc - it turns out that using those CDs has forced me to do quite a bit of research. There are very brief notes for a few tracks, the rest is an opportunity for me to dig and learn more about surf music history.
