Well, with Thanksgiving coming up and the holiday season about to take off in full swing, I've been looking around for tabs/videos of Christmas songs to work on. Found some cool videos by this guy on YouTube who does pretty good covers of songs from the Ventures' Christmas Album.
Sleigh Ride / What Child Is This / Santa Claus Is Coming To Town / Jingle Bells
Jingle Bell Rock / Silver Bells / Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer / Frosty The Snowman
Scrooge / Blue Christmas / We Wish You A Merry Christmas / White Christmas
Now I just gotta tab it all out...

Cap, I'm actually doing the whole album with my group here in Atlanta. We did it last year and it was a lot of fun. I've got the whole thing tabbed out (I've even got bass tab too). Send me your email address and I'll see if I can scan it in and send it to you.

Thanks Chadillac! Message sent.
Here's another guy's take on Sleigh Ride, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, and The Christmas Song.

Hey Chad, I will also try to make at least one of those performances. Try to remember to post an announcement here when it gets closer.

I'm super stoked to be able to say that 4 more SG101 members will be bringing The Ventures Christmas Album to life in the Los Angeles area on Dec. 18.
Performing under the name High Tide will be:
Matt Quilter (reventlos), Guitar
Marty Tippens (Nokie), Guitar
Jonpaul Balak (JONPAUL), Bass
Duff Paulsen (surfbeatnik), Drums
1 set will be the album in it's entirety and the other will be surf standards, most on the obscure, seldom-heard-live side.
More details in Show Announcements to come very, very soon...

Oh, man. This sounds like an awesome show. Hopefully somebody will post some video of this as I'm on the East Coast and will miss it.

We recorded a short Christmas tune for Whorehay's
show
last year. It was a done quick and dirty like. I
recall
we consumed 12 minutes from learning the song to
stopping the little recorder. But it was all for
fun.
It had the sound of breaking glass and I even got to
use the word "motherf***er" in it which I don't
think
has ever been done before in a holiday classic to my
knowledge. The whole thing was kinda in bad taste. A
real gem.
I can't imagine we'd ever do another one, even though
I
like Christmas music.
wow!!
why do I not remember that?
where is the scratching my head emoticon?
I just recorded (last night) this years RFB x-mas
show.
it should be up on Mon. Dec. 19th.
hope you all give it a listen.
I played some pretty eclectic bands,
and Ironically there is only a few surfy numbers.
and High Tide(surf super group)Jonpaul,Duff,Matt
Quilter,Marty Tippens
will be playing the Ventures Christmas album at the
Purple Orchid Christmas party, Sunday Dec. 18th at 6pm
come on down, chug some egg nog, and have some grub.
while listening to the Ventures X-mas album live.
