Hi! I'm new here. I just thought I'd post a link to a surf rock tune I have recorded. It got played on the radio in Southern Texas and Northern Mexico (along with 17 of my other songs, several of which are surf tunes) on 10/24/2010. Here is the link:

P.S.: Dick Dale has been an influence on my surf music. I met him after he played a concert (July 2011) at the Casino in Avalon, Catalina, California.

Wow talk about a nostalgia trip, sounds just like 1982. I mean that in a good way, cool song!

I like it! Danny is spot on about the early 80's.
If you want to earn cash money from that tune Aaron, try posting it on amazingtunes.com. They have a radio station as well, it's called amazing radio. I had a #1 surf rock hit on soundclick but I never earned a dime off them. Another platform that is cool is youtube, one of my tunes gets up to a 1000 hits a week on there and I just got accepted for advertising GoogleAds.
Good luck!

DannySnyder,
Jewish Songs & Instrumental Surf music? You guys must have a sense of humor!
airesound,
I started to sign on to the amazingtunes, then it says it has to tie in with my facebook. I'm a bit leery about that. Perhaps you can tell me more on how that works. Will amazingtunes be spamming my facebook all the time? How did you get so many people to check out your youtube (feel free to provide a link)? Tell me more about the GoogleAds thing please.
mom surfing,
Thanks for listening & commenting!

I don't know how it ties in with facebook as I never use it, I thought it was for band promotion and such. If you're worried about spam, open a new email account just for amazing tunes and register that with paypal so you get paid.
It has taken me a couple of years to get accepted for googleAds, youtube kept fobbing me off and then I got an invite this week right out of the blue. Youtube traffic is strongly linked to the tagging that you put on your videos.
I'm basically a 60 year old guy without a clue that just tries out experiments in web technology and I pick things up that have potential for reaching a wider audience. Space Rocket To Mars tune is strong enough to support the cheesiest of videos man, it's not like you can break anything that you have to pay for!

airesounds,
Thanks for the info. If you want to post a link to your youtube or GoogleAds things, go ahead. I'm not clear if you get paid for GoogleAds, or it's another way to get heard or ?
