That is a great record! A friend of mine (and former co-worker) did the Shag-esque artwork for that CD.
I think it got some play on Spongebob Squarepants or something like that.

Not surf at all, but REALLY fantastic!

Big Tiki Dude gave me The Deadbeats CD. I missed them at the last SG101 show, unfortunately. Great stuff, Abe! Recommended.

Thanks man. Glad you dig it. It's a little heavier than your average surf release but I suppose that's part of it's appeal.
As for me, I got this one at Amoeba Music a few weeks ago.
Plus this.
And got this 7" from TonyBologna. If you like Psychedelic Garage Pop with a little Soul you'll probably dig this one.

Check out Tony's band The Gregors here. Produced and recorded by our favorite surf guru Ferenc Dobronyi.

"Blue Avalanche" The TakeOffs' debut CD. I can't spew enough superlatives to do it justice, so "bitchin'" will have to suffice. Wish I could make it to their release party with the Duo Tones on Kauai next weekend.

Picked up a few LPs at Amoeba over the weekend:

Not my favorite of theirs, but it's not far behind K-39 , either.
Pretty cool biker movie soundtrack by Les Baxter.
Killer stuff!
Never been a big Ziggens fan, but "Goin' Richter" was worth the $2.

I want to thank everybody who recommended Lou's Records in Encinitas. I stopped by on the way back home from San Diego and found these two:
Halibut Beach still has the 3D glasses inside. It's always nice to find 80s surf, I hardly ever find any.

The only place I've seen Jon & the Nightriders stuff is Vinyl Solution in HB. They've had at least two copies of the live album and I found the Splashback EP in the $1 bin. It's also where I found this guy.

I really like the new Mystery Men EP. I think it is a great recorded sound too.
On the way are the first 3 Rare Surf comps and Squad Car by Eddie and the Showmen (thanks to a nice heads up on a deal).

So I've been orchestrating a few record shows down here and while I always get a few cool instro 45s, I never thought I would snag this, let alone for $30 total

I looked it up. Distance from New Orleans to Sweden is 5000 miles

Nice find! Especially at that price too. You hit the he Spotniks motherlode A stash like that can't be real common here.
Were you into them previously at all?

Yeah, I have a Spotnicks LP I picked up in Brussels and CD collection or two, but I was telling everybody "these have no business being in New Orleans"
I was so excited I was showing it to all the big record buffs I knew. The only other person that got it was my girlfriend
