Gracias, casi todos los temas de Fuzz los compuse durante mi obsession con el sonido de Davie Allan & the Arrows. Me encanta ese ruido brutal!

The Deadbeats

Cool Abe, keep up the great work! You guys should work with Joe Koch (NorcalHodad) on some stuff.

"It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea

Thanks! Yeah I've heard some of his stuff, lots of fuzz.

The Deadbeats

Cool Fuzz, Abe! Dig the tracks here - Pinky's House Party might be my favorite - love the stops, and the groove is def' very "party". Nifty!

Arab sounds pretty great too. Lots of energy there. Is that gonna be on the upcoming EP?

Thanks Brian. Yeah I really like "Pinky's House Party" as well but Im sorta stuck with just the way it is. I haven't been able to add any other parts to it. But it's just a GarageBand recording so whatever, haha.

As for "Arab" that was from our live at KALX radio performance back in March. Im not sure if you heard it but here's a link courtesy of Trey: http://thesurfsideiv.com/upload/sg101/deadbeatsKALX19mar11.mp3 I wish we had recorded that one but we forgot about it while at Ferenc's place. I can send you that file if you like. BTW the EP will only have 7 songs but Im sure you'll enjoy it. Thanks again.

The Deadbeats

Somehow, I wandered over here to this post. Never heard a lot of that stuff. That is some fuzzy a## s##t, man. Yes

Thanks man. Who are you again?

The Deadbeats

shouldn't it say Mucho Rubio's ?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Nah. You know what? I tried that place for the first time a few weeks ago. It's not really great. Not bad, but not great. I have noticed that most, if not all, the Mexican restaurant chains always taste the same and they kinda suck. You have to go to the small businesses or taco trucks for some good grub. The best places are always located in ghetto, haha.

The Deadbeats

I agree, I was just being silly.

There is a place around the corner from me. El Taco
its not a 1 off, but there are only 6 or so in the chain.
Great food, you'll have to try it if you come down again sometime.
Everybody I take there loves it, and when I text them I am going there,
they drool and call me a lucky bastard.

sorry for the derail,
I'm always thinking about food.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Best thing about living in California hands down is Mexican food, second is having an actual surf music scene. It's that good. I would quit playing guitar before I'd quit eating burritos Stir the Pot

I was as pupil of yours until you turned to the dark side.

SSIV

Dark Side? What dark side? I don't remember having any pupils named Trey. What did I even teach anyways? I remember some guy that we would call, Trey Dawg. Eres tu o no?

Haha. I don't care man talk about whatever. But yeah, I might have to check that place out one of these days. I can't really think of any good Mexican restaurants around here right now. There's a place in Berkeley called La Burrita that's pretty good. Us Deadbeats would go there sometimes after shows depending on how close we were or how late it was. We took Santanu there for almost a week straight almost every night after rehearsal or a show. And we took Mike Barbwire there as well, he said he liked it. It's a cool spot to hang out at late into the night. There's still students and other people walking the streets. It's pretty lively even at those hours. You should check it out when your up in the bay area.
