Good luck on the completion of this project.
And if it comes to fruition I wild help spread the word about it.

Hi Sticks,

I was hoping that you might have an update for us about plans on finishing the Penetrators' "High Plains Surfer" album.

I am really looking forward to hearing this one day.

Thanks,

Edward

Still hoping to hear this one day. Below is a mock up of the cover art by Rip Thrillby from the late 90's.

Wow!

Jeff(bigtikidude)

The story I heard was that this low res mockup is all that exists of the original album art, which was somehow lost. Maybe Sean from Double Crown can pop in and confirm.

There are one or two other mockups that I received from Rip, but the one posted here by Edward is probably the one we would have gone with (with just a bit more work done to it). The songs that were (are?) going to be on it are around, in various forms, but the backing tracks just need orchestration and a bit more polish. I shouldn't say "just" though, because obviously the much missed Spanky and Rip are no longer with us. It is possible, I suppose, to have people associated with the band, or a few of their friends, finish them, but it's a difficult, and potentially expensive, proposition. I would never say never though. Having said that, Trace, Sticks, and I have been in talks and we hope to have some exciting news this year.

Thanks for the intel, Sean. Cool

I really hope that it can come to be.

Thanks for the update and explanation of the project's status Sean. I hope that the High Plains Surfer music can be released commercially in a state that Trace & Sticks are satisfied with. We all miss Rip and Spanky.
