Dang, were we ever fortunate to score this gig. The 14th Annual East Atlanta Strut Music and Arts Festival is a 13 hour party...they close off several streets in the East Atlanta Village which is an artsy/Bohemian section of town, invite 30+ bands on six stages, well over a hundred arts, crafts and food vendors and let it rip. There was a 5K road race around the village, a hilarious parade, an adult circus and controlled mayhem and mild debauchery everywhere you looked. A very fun and very well-behaved crowd.

This year there were 31 bands, The Surge being the only surf/instrumental rock group in the lineup. Thanks to the organizers for turning us loose. The audience loved it, we received a bunch of post-show kudos. It was a blast!

Here's a pic of us on stage doing our thing.

Wow Woody! Those guys "look" like they know what they are doing. It was a blast. A bit early in the day for this old dude here to be very organized, but with the help from you dudes, I sorta got my act together.

We look good in shorts.................

Thanks to all that helped us get there and make it such a great afternoon. I didn't even get my van towed.......figure.

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

Sorry I missed it! Crazy weekend. Glad to hear that you had such a good response!

Very cool. Keep spreading the gospel of surf music one gig at time!
