Hi Brian,
It was hiding in the case off to the side for a back-up. I've been usin' my new Jag with "BFTB" lately.
Just added "Pipeline". Rob was having some fun with his Flanger pedal in the 3rd verse. ;D

George Tomsco is the reason I got into instrumental music in the first place. Here he is playing my Jazzmaster back in January. Sorry Rik-A-Tik got cut off...my battery died. One of my favorite tunes of all time and I'm glad to see you playing it, Billy.

Thanks Matt! Nice vid of him playin' your git fiddle! George is way cool. He put our Detonator's version of "Bulldog" on his "Quite a Party" cd a few years ago. Sweet!

That's awesome! Years ago, my old surf band, the Del-Vamps, was putting out an EP of Fireballs tunes (which later became a full CD) and George helped us out so much. He's one of the most genuinely nice guys there is. By the way, I retired that guitar after he signed it and played it. It was my first Jazzmaster (bought it back in '92) and I was so stoked when I got it all those years ago because it was identical to his original one, which he told me was stolen in NYC back in the 60s. GREAT stuff you guys got there! Do you guys have a CD I can get?

Thanks Matt!
A Cd is in the works. This band, "Banned From the Beach" had taken a 10 year hiatus. (my first surf band I joined), back in the late 90's. Were back at it again. Peter Kesselman, our new drummer, just joined the band less than a month ago, and the videos we just posted is Pete's second gig with us. He played the Malibu Pier with us the night before. He's doin' a great job, and he also filmed the whole thing. Way cool.
I do have cd's from other surf bands and projects, The Detonators, Surf Rockets, Men Of Mystery, (Shadows stuff), or you can also find those band vids on Youtube until we get a "BFTB" cd together. I'll send you a private message for details and send you some cd's if you'd like.
Cheers!
Billy

That'd be GREAT. The Shadows are another favorite band of mine. We're now doing "Back Home" among others. Along with the Fireballs, they got me hooked on instrumentals more so than the Ventures did. I always loved the Shadows' use of minor chord progressions. I always feel sorry for the rhythm players on Shadows' covers. That's some REALLY tough strumming!

You got that right Matt! We recorded 16 Shadows tunes in one long, long day. I played acoustic guitars thru the whole recording session. My fingers were raw by the end of the day, especially after "Savage" and "Gonzalez". Ouch!
