Looking forward to seeing you again this weekend!

And yes. Jeff is the man. He is like Atlas, with the
world of Reverb on his mighty shoulders. We are truly
indebted to him... Worship

I met Jeff in '99 when my band Elvis Can't Surf played a multi-band Surf Stomp in my town. He sat with arms folded watching our set, and when we were done he came up and said he really dug our stuff. After that, he was at virtually every single gig we had 'til the band ended. The man's passion knows no bounds, and has only gotten stronger in the last dozen years. Hats off to you, Jeff, you're an inspiration to us all!

And there will be 3 Pre shows, on Fri. August 12th.

San Diego will be at the Soda Bar.
Secret Samurai, Daikaiju, and The Razorblades,

LA, at the Purple Orchid, near LAX airport
Outerwave, The Meshugga Beach Party, and the Bradipos
IV

Anaheim, at the Juke Joint,
Tequila Worms, Cocktail Preachers, and The Blue
Demons.

I know it will be hard to pick one,
but I have to divide it up like that for Fri. :-/

Make that 4 pre-shows ~

Wow!!!
I don't know if I should be honored by
What Jonpaul wrote, or that he joined and posted on SG101.
Shock
Thanks Jonpaul, and everyone that chimed in.

I want to wish safe and uneventful travels for all those out of town folks who are making the long journey to the SG101 convention!

Ditto what Brian said. In addition, be advised that temperatures here are much cooler than normal (like last year). At least pack a jacket or sweatshirt if you plan to be out at night. It will also probably be cool for Sudays Pier Concert.

Good to know! It's the exact opposite here in the southeast (and most of the eastern part of the country, I believe), so this will be refreshing indeed!

Very true. Today the high is going to be about 76 here in Burbank area. That's got to be a record low for August here. Not that I'm complaining. I love it!

Just added to the bevy of prizes in the SG101 Convention raffle!
One voucher for a Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor Combo Season Pass good for the rest of this year. If you're not local it's good at 13 Six Flags Theme Parks so there's bound to be one near you. Includes fee parking. Here's some info: http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/tickets/seasonpass.aspx
Good luck and see ya Saturday!

Wow....Jon Paul joins SG101. I would guess this momentous event deserves a peep outta me. I have been so lax about posting on here for so long. I think I must have retired after being the Hall Monitor you-know-where.
And yes, Jeff deserves all the positive accolades heaped on him for carrying the tiki torch forward. Hazah!
See you all Saturday! Carol, come by my table....I'm selling off my Surfing Girl mags cheap! Cool
