Caught the Razorblades at Duff's Garage here in Portland last night. Great, high energy stuff - and the Highway to Hell quote fit right in at the end of their all originals set. Swing your ponytail indeed. The Convention is gonna be epic.
BTW, Wave Sauce was on the bill last night too - I'd never seen a theramin played live before. Cool!

I have been mentioning the Convention on the air, hope some NorCal folks make it down as a result. Also forwarded information about the guitar raffle to KFJC staff - lots of musicians there.
I am so ready for this!

Can't hardly believe it's THIS MONTH!!!
Question about the vendor stuff: payment forms?
Of course I'm sure cash is good, but what about (out of state) checks? credit / debit cards? paypal?
... I can appreciate it may vary by seller, but figured I'd ask based on previous years. Is this mostly Cash or bust?

Cash only seems to be the rule.
— That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

I think that you could ask the Vendors, about Checks,
but Cash talks at an event like this,
There is an ATM at the Venue,
but I think it might have run out of money last year,
So make sure you get cash before you come,
and bring lots of it. You won't want to be short or out of money early.
With the raffle tix, all the cool merch that will be there,
and tons of new releases,
and you need some money to buy food and drink too.
But the venue does take credit cards for food or drink purchases.

reminder, Tiki Oasis 11 is 1 week after the SG101 convention,
here is the link to the thread on TC:
http://www.tikiroom.com/tikicentral/bb/viewtopic.php?topic=39749&forum=17&342
there is a bit of surf happening at Oasis this year,
Surfer Joe's Boss combo, and Los Straitjackets on the Main Stage
Jason Lee and the R.I.P.tides by the pool on Fri.
And I hear that there are many room parties with surf bands playing,
here is what I have caught wind of.
Sand Devils, Secret Samurai, Insect Surfers, Swank Bastards,
Jason Lee and the RIPtides, Surfer Joe's Boss combo, and maybe more...

Haha! Um... no. I'll gladly just take it all in. Foolmaking not necessary to make the pilgrimage to Surf Mecca complete
