The Richard Bennet CD was on heavy rotation at my place all weekend. We had beautiful weather and that CD was perfect for chilling in the backyard.

Jamie, I've been listening to this album a lot over the past few weeks and feel like I've had enough chance to get to know it - and it really is as great as everybody said it was! Very unique, a nice mixture of surf and exotica, with gorgeous playing and songwrting, and a phenomenal production. I love it. I'm very glad I finally picked it up. Now I see what I've been missing all this time! If anybody out there doesn't have it, and don't need to have it cranked to 11 and at 160 bpm or faster, you will not go wrong with this CD.

Ivan, I am so glad that you are enjoying it! When we were talking about it at Trader Vic's you seems kind of lukewarm towards it, so I'm really glad to hear that it fullly soaked it. Sometimes it's a slow burn, right? I think you will be hard pressed to find a more passionate and well-produced album. That recording is damn near perfect.
Now give us another album, dammit!!!

Definitely. I think actually if I like something immediately that I often quickly get bored with it. The stuff that needs a bit of effort is the stuff that stays with me for a long time. Of course, there has to be something there that makes me want to give it more chances, and that was definitely the case here. Now that I've gotten to know the songs a bit more, they've revealed themselves as true little gems. (Though what's up with that final 'song'? Weird.)

Agreed.

Working on it... Patience...

A saucy, fun-filled romp with a decidedly spaghetti western flair.

The Tomorrowmen-"It's About Time"....This is One Fabulous Recording !! A Lot of thoughtful & talented playing AND This is one of those somewhat "rare" instances where the CD conveniently gets "stuck" in your player....and you don't mind one bit !!

I just got my hands on the last Bambi Molesters CD and I dind't liked it as much as Intensity (wich is my favourite Bambi Molesters). I think the strings and horns doesn't bring that much. I just like the way the guys play the guitars and their perfect combination.

Really? Intensity is probably my least favorite Bambi record, along with Play Out of Tune.
IMO, their best albums are:
As The Dark Wave Swells
Sonic Bullets: 13 From The Hip
Dumb Loud Hollow Twang

Amen. First time I heard this CD, I was driving from Santa Ynez to Seal Beach. 2 & half hour drive. I did not take it out of the player the entire ride.
