Hey Clint - LOVED this latest podcast (#24). Neat idea to do only 5+ minute songs. Pretty cool how that composition length seems to have a similar affect on the vibe of the songs, regardless of who is playing. Could just be telling of your personal taste by the songs you chose, but I think it may be more than that. Great set for an easy Sat or Sun morning w/ a cup o' Joe and cruising SG101! As you may or may not have noticed… I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus the past month and a half and it will continue for another couple of weeks. We’ve been doing some work around the house and it has put the podcast studio out of commission. My apologies to the bands that have recently sent me CDs to play. I promise those will get plenty of airtime once I’m back up and running. I miss doing the show and look forward to getting back in the saddle. On a side note, I’ve received some very promising news coming from the college radio station where I continue to do a show very similar to the podcast. The station is KCR from San Diego State University. In the past, any news from KCR has been things that the station is hoping will happen in the near future. This time, things have actually happened!! New equipment has been purchased (note it is in past tense) and installation has been scheduled. The internet streaming issues appear to be resolved and the only hold up lies with SDSU I.T. dept. This is as optimistic as I have been with KCR in many years. They better not be messing with me!!! This November will mark my 10 year anniversary at KCR… right the heels of Devlar Surf Sessions on Live 365. When (if) we do return to the internet, I’m planning on taking a slightly different direction with the show. Hopefully you’ll like. Still tons of surf. I will continue to do the podcast in its present form. Thanks for your patience…. |
