as of right now, there are no online tix, you just show up and pay at the door. But if enough people request online tix, I can look into it. as for Fender Tour, it's Friday morning Aug. 12th at 9 am. I will be taking names for this soon. —Jeff(bigtikidude) |

The bacon is good http://startinggate.karaokescene.com/ Unless you're in and out for just the day you'll have plenty of chances to eat places with "better" food, however you define that. This place is a very decent facility for what we need at a pretty decent price and they are willing to tolerate our shtick if we go along with theirs and buy food and drink from them instead of stepping out at the critical point to go somewhere else, leaving them with our mess, noise and stink and nothing to show for it. When I've been there my all-American breakfast was good and the hamburger was fine. As far as beverages, I've been in bars with a lot less variety for a lot more money. They have non-alcoholic stuff, but they make their money on the alcohol, of course. The people who work there seem pleasant and efficient. At the peak of the action there has been problems with them being overwhelmed and seeming not to be able to tell one stout middle aged surf fan from another. Part of the problem may be our tendency to mill around incessantly, instead of sticking to one spot. Also we chat or watch the stage and fail to keep our eyes open, looking around for lost waitresses. "I dunno - he was about so tall and he had a hat and a camera." Compared to the usual lunch situation it is pretty musical, loud and chaotic. I'm surprised they are willing to try to serve us food and haven't turned the fire hoses on us yet.
