Permalink Eastwood Sidejack case

New Topic

I just got myself a Sidejack and I am using a bass case now for it. Anybody here have recommendations for a "reasonable" case. I am not interested in a Fender. I have tried finding Mosrite, but no luck.

Well, you could have some company design a custom case for it...$$$$

Or, you could DIY...Modify an existing case you already have, shape some plywood inserts and cover with foam pad to fit, get yourself some crushed velvet (or imitation) and you're good. And save $$$$, to boot.

Plus, it's much more rewarding to DIY. With a little know how, it's rather easy to do.

Good Luck,

You can always try http://eastwoodguitars.com/ , they sell cases specially for that model for $99 if you order directly from them. I have one for my Ichiban and it fits pretty nice. You can also ask Mike, he's a really nice guy and I'm sure he'd be happy to help you out.

He was out of stock when I ordered my guitar. I'm on the west coast so I was hoping to get away from the shipping.

Mm thats too bad. Well since its pretty much a Mosrite, maybe one of these?

As much as I LOVE the faux alligator Mosrite case...for $99 or even $125 plus shipping (though relatively cheap for a case), considering what you already paid for a copy guitar (albeit a nice one), and seeing that it's an after market replica Mosrite case, not an original, Imo, I'd mod an existing case to fit, and save a lot of money... The Sidejack is not an original Mosrite, why spend more money than you have to on a case? (that still might not fit, btw, and might require additional time and money to modify to a correct fit. However, if you are going to mod a case to fit, the alligator case would be a really nice touch. Yet again, think time and $$$$, unless those things aren't an issue for you).

But then again, I know some people would rather pay more to not have to take the time to do it themselves, as your time is very expensive these days, and is something that weighs heavily into the equation...It's up to you.

Whatever you decide, I wish you good luck.

I'm thinking of just buying a MF bass case ($59.00- or Tweed $69.00) and mod the neck area. That is what I am using for now, my bass has no case of course, and the headstock rests on the bottom of the case. I do not like that to much. I think I can just add a little soft cushion of some sort and be good to go. I do like the Zamm case but honestly spending over $100.00 for a case is not appealing. Thank you guys for your help... Very Happy

For $65.00 my local music store sold me a case designed to fit the thin semi-hollow Gibson ES guitars. My Mosrite fit inside like the case had been custom-made for it. This would be about the most cost-effective way to go, I think.
