The RP250 has been my multi effects pedal of choice as of late. Anyone here use one? Any settings that you've found good for creating your magical surf sound?

Chaz, I used an RP100 for years as a direct interface for recording demos. Obviously there are better products out there for this purpose but it served it's purpose well. Actually, during the first incarnation of this band I used the RP100 as my preamp and ran it into the poweramp in on my old Marshall head. With the Tweed amp setting I actually got a great sound with a nice overdrive. —THE KBK ... This is the last known signal. We offer Sanctuary. www.thekbk.com |

Do you still use the RP100? |

Well, I intend on using it again very soon, once I start laying down demos for our next record. Besides that, our key player currently uses it for some effects work when we play live. —THE KBK ... This is the last known signal. We offer Sanctuary. www.thekbk.com |

Do you use any of the reverb effects on the pedal? |

Back when I used it I did. I used the spring reverb. It didn't quite have enough drip for me but was better than most digital reverbs that were out at the time of the RP100. I honestly just used a basic setup. Either the Blackface or Tweed amp setting with the spring reverb setting cranked and then EQed to my liking. I preferred the Tweed amp setting because you could actually do a realistic overdrive on it. —THE KBK ... This is the last known signal. We offer Sanctuary. www.thekbk.com |

I've used the rp150 and 350 live and I have really liked them. Especially when run through a big tube amp's power section. —Psycho surfabilly! |

It's a fun pedal to experiment with. I spend a bit of time tweaking the delay and reverb settings. Has anyone tried to RP255? I'm wondering if it's significantly better. |
