The Bristol Express
Stumbled on this by accident. I was actually looking for the Nebulas' version. I had never realized that on It's GO! Time they were covering the Eagles (a British instro/vocal band). I should read liner notes more.
You could put this together with the surname Frey appearing as a co-composer with Messina on his songs and have a lot of spurious fun. Fortunately having run across three or four homophonous Avantis yesterday and all the SG101 Messina & Frey elucidation a day or two before I was ready for coincidences.
