WOW!! Phenomenal! If someone wants to know what 'trad surf' is, we just need to show 'em this!! It defines it. Just great, guys!

That really is fantastic, and a great companion piece for the 2 Thunderchiefs CDs that I just got.

Thanks for posting!

I still contend Our Last Night is one of the best surf band vocals ever.

Sounds like it could have been recorded in Clovis, NM.

Great surf tension! Drums, bass, and rhythm bubbling just under full throttle and bombs here and there. Me like.

Totally awesome! I'm really digging the three guitar lineup. How long have you guys had that configuration?

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

I've heard about shows at Antone's, I never realized they were literally IN Antone's.
Definitely wanna check you guys out though.

It is, Antone's is great.
Literally the only place in San Antonio AND Austin that I've found any really good surf.
Definitely worth a stop in, if you're in Austin.

Thanks guys!

We went to three guitars about a year ago.
It's kind of a long story. We had a gig where the Sir Finks were going to play a reunion. The Thunderchiefs VS. the Sir Finks. which is pretty funny considering Mike and Joe both played with the Sir Finks so 2/4th of the band stays the same.
So anyway, Mike, Jason (bassist with the Sir Finks and now with the T-chiefs)and Daemon (Sir Finks Drummer) are rehearsing for the reunion show. They finish picking and Mike takes off on a skate board down the street. (Mike is incredible on a skate board by the way) Mike and Jason’s sons are throwing a football around in the front yard.... Can you guess where this is going? Shock
Yep, the ball goes into the street just as Mike comes bombing by, stops him dead in the his tracks and over the nose he goes.... Broken collar bone.

Mikes out for the gig obviously so we move Joe from bass the second guitar and have Jason play bass for the one off debut of the Thunderfinks.
Any how we have soo much fun with Jason we ask him to play with us and go to three guitars full time.
The End Cool

Its been a blast and we can't wait to record the new line up.

Thanks again for all the kind words!

The Thunderchiefs

This is what happens when you get 5 super talented guys who all agree on what is being played. Really cool!

Wow you guys sound great. Those are some purdy nice drums. I always wanted to play in a record store somewhere near here. Looks like fun!
