I'm STOKED to be part of this! Thanks for the reviews Kenpo, DP and Pollo, I'm gonna do some more spit and polish when I get the chance.
Great work everyone! Happy New Year

Yeah my bad. It's Gimlet's Femme Fatale that is in m4a and not in the player, sorry. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Bummer! I had problems converting the original file to mp3 - I think i sent Brian an mp3 version? Apologies to all for the hassle! |

I used this a couple of months ago when it was called "BonEnc". It's a free open source audio converter. http://www.freac.org/ |

I believe iTunes can convert to mp3 also. Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

I've uploaded an mp3 version of Gimlet's track, and it now appears in the online player. I've also uploaded thorburn's cover art and added it to the collection as well. Brian, The Image files section on Archive.org isn't right. The SG101_2010.jpg JPEG and JPEG Thumb are reversed. The smaller image is in the JPEG column, and the larger image is in the JPEG Thumb column. The sg101-2010-mp3-com-liner-notes.pdf file is in the Animated GIF column. When you click on in, it brings up a tiny, unreadable image of the note pages changing. —My Web Site - Tunes - Pictures - Guitar Projects - Hard Rock Cafe Guitar Pins |

Not for me.
I don't know why they converted the pdf to animated gif. But at the very bottom of the page you can find the liner notes in the original pdf format and several other formats that archive.org derived from the pdf. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

If you find that page confusing, then you can also pick and choose files from here: http://ia700408.us.archive.org/7/items/Surfguitar101.com2010Mp3Compilation/ You can also download all the files at once as a giant .zip file Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Thanks a lot for all your hard work Brian! It feels great to be on the same comp as some of best surf guitarists around. — |

Hey Brian, I noticed that the compilations are all missing from the downloads section. Will you be restoring those as well? — |

I was actually thinking about starting over on the downloads, and leaving the compilations on archive.org. I guess the comments are what people would miss? In any event I should make some links to the past compilations on archive.org. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Well, this thread is the place for that. There were comments on individual files at the old site. If there are enough requests I can bring those back. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |
