It seems Serbia has joined the world of surf/instro as we know it.The band is called Threesome
It's two guys and a bad ass female drummer that has a very Birdstuff like style about her that I am absolutely loving!
The band is offering a free download of the debut ep here. http://supersizeshe.com/releases/threesome---threesome-ep/
So you say you need a visual to help peek your interest?

Kinda surprised they didn't use retro sci-fi art, since it's not just the drummer sporting a pretty significant MoAM influence.
I like how it kinda straddles Experiment Zero with the less weird Made From Techneitium stuff ... but I also wish there was a little bit more originality involved.
— That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

It's true the guitar player, and bassist also incorporate some MoAM? influences, but it's hard for a modern surf instro act to not kinda steal from them somewhat. In my opinion Man Or Astro-Man? are up there with Dick Dale,Link Wray, and Davie Allan and The Arrows when it comes to having a influential, and distinctive sound.I could list numerous groups in the last decade that take MoAM?'s sound and just simply base their whole band on that sound alone,it's gonna happen.
As for originality...Well so far they only have three songs documented, and who's to say they won't come up with something sounding all their own on their next release.

What I find really strange about this is how they landed a gig with so many people in attendance with only three songs under their belt.Sure they probably weren't the headlining act for this show but thats still a pretty good gig for only having a 3 song EP out.We should all be this lucky!

BigTikiDude you are correct they were indeed playing at the same gig with Bambi Molesters. The gig was a festival called Mikser which was held in Belgrade,Serbia earlier this year.
I also found a very lengthy live video of Threesome. It starts off with a brief band interview in Serbian so I can't understand a word other than when they talk about their surf influences such as Bambi Molesters,Man Or Astro-Man?,Slacktone etc. It turns out that they do in fact have more than three originals under their collective belt.In turn they do perform a few 60's era surf classics like Surf Rider, Mr.Moto, and Pipeline. At one point the bass player, and the guitarist switch instruments. The video quality is superb so this is a easy listen.

Hey guys!
First of all thank you brandonio for finding us and opening this topic!
Just wanted to update you.
We're in studio from the 4th of February. Our first LP with around 11 songs will be released in May.
We are keeping it 100% analog.
Mastering will be done by John Golden, who worked with many of our favorite bands, including Man Or Asto-man.
http://goldenmastering.com/projects.html
- was a very successful year for us here. In a competition with 400 bands from Balkans,
we won first price and album recording award at DemoFest in BiH, also the best new Serbian band in 2010. We played in 5 states, including Austria.
The awesomest radio station DEVLAR SURF SESSIONS played our EP many times!

If you guys know any festival we could sign for, please let us know. SurfGuitar101! makes a festival once a year. Right?!
Also, tell us what you like/hate about our music.
We started playing together only 14 month ago and we know there's a lot to be learned.
Here's one more video:
