Freddie, the green check mark on the box you enter your post allows you to preview. Just type a little bit, then click the green check mark. Repeat as necessary.
Thanks.

A forum jump box would be useful. save ya from having to hit the back key or forum index tab.

Here is my to-do list.
The milestone I call "Post Rollout" is what I am immediately working on.

That's funny, I left that out because I didn't think anyone used it. I'll consider putting it back if enough people ask for it. We do need some "back to top" links though.

And if anyone knows anything about Apache mod_rewrite rules, I could use some help.

Looks good!
Does the RSS feed still exist? Safari tells me "Safari could not update this feed because the source file is no longer available."

The feed urls have changed.
- Forums: http://surfguitar101.com/feeds/forums/
- News: http://surfguitar101.com/feeds/news/
Let me know if those work for you.

Well I wouldn't want you to think you had done all that work for nothing!
To me the feeds are the easiest way to keep up. If it's been a week since I last visited SG101, I can just quickly scan the feed and see what's new without having to go to each sub-forum on the site. Not that I wouldn't like to, just don't often have time.
Keep up the good work!

That's right, I didn't bring the avatars over. Feel free to upload a new one. The new software will even resize it to 100x100 pixels for you if it is bigger than that.

Another thing I'm happy about. This site is much more "green" if you will:

The big spike was when I was building the new database. After that, both CPU usage and database queries dropped (dramatically in the case of the database).

Hi Brian,
I just tried responding to a post and wasn't able to see a 'Preview' function to check my reply before submitting. It would've been especially handy this time, because I wanted to refer the OP to a YouTube vid. Tried the URL link button and wasn't sure if it had worked, so also used the Attach Video function (which seems to work fine). Thanks again for all the work you've put into the site!

Hi MissingLink,
The 3rd post in this thread mentions the preview button. It's the green checkmark in the box where you type your post. At the very end of the calendar screencast I did yesterday I do a quick demo of the new edit box. I hope that helps.
