Hey i heard this catching little tune on spongebob squarepants the other day. Anyone know the band/artist?

Spongebob is loaded with great surf and hawaiian songs btw.

I am not sure who does this. I do believe that Ghastly Ones did a few tracks for Spongebob at some point. I have them somewhere on my itunes.

The Ghastly Ones, The Mel-Tones, The Woodies, & Blue Hawaiians all did songs for Sponge Bob, but I've never heard that one. It sounds like a song from the 60's.

Googling "spongebob 'break-thru'" led to the name Gary Mills. Not very much information on who that is, but hopefully that gets heading towards the right direction.

The Surfdusters also had some songs in various episodes. Their new CD Save the Waves contains all of their songs used in the show.

i have heard about the meltones and ghastly ones on sponebob but not the surfdusters, woodies, and the blue hawaiians. Ill definitly check em out.

I just ran across this and did some research on the song. Apparently it is listed as Gordon, Gary or Garry Mills(with 2 R's). From the early 60's out of the UK.

My old band Los Mel-tones had songs in several episodes in the first two seasons - including the pilot. I'm pretty sure that soon after they started taking all the music in house.

Which songs did you have on the show? I would like to do a Rockin & Surfin Show with the surf music from the show. If I could get a list of the songs I probably have them already in my library all I need are the bands and song names.
