Shot by a guest onboard a 55' Sportfishing vessel during the 2010 Winterfest Boat Parade. Disreagrd the camera mic, we won an award for Best in Sound. The fidelity from 50 yards away was awesome and the crowds onshore went wild. (Albeit it was probably for our dancers...LOL)
Enjoy!!

"Winterfest", "Christmas Boat Parade", the collage of stills - t-shirts, bikini tops & skirts... add the crummy upper 20's this morning with a mix of snow / sleet / freezing rain where I am makes me incredibly jealous right about now.
55'er is a beauty. Nice mix of surf-a-fied holiday tunes to boot. Looks like a blast had by all.
Thanks for posting!

Excellent. Very cool vintage Ludwig set but where were the rototoms hidden? Can't see in the opening shots (at least it sounded like rototoms).
Bikini clad dancers at an outdoor Christmas event is just one of the many reasons why people should not live where it snows.

That was KU, the tiki god of canoes & warfare, carved by a New Zealand carver. The thing was 12 feet tall, so it really stood out. We wanted the Tiki God of Surf Guitar, but I don't think Big Tiki Dude would've wanted to be strapped to that hardtop all day & nite.
The drums are vintage Ludwig 1965 (or close there to) Ringo Starr black oyster pearl. He plays left handed, the rotos were to his right (camera left).
We're hoping to get better photos & videos when some of the guests oboard send them. I'll post a few choice shots if & when we do.

Our drummer is real proud of his kit, and has owned it since the sixties, he's left handed, rotos are to his right. Never mind. Sorry Frank, thats not Ku...its Rarotongan, closer to RJ's part of the world. Ku will appear next year.

Wow..........! Big time fun.
Years back we played a Jr/Sr Prom out at Stone Mountain Park on one of their two riverboats. That Cutback Vid reminded me of the curve on the upper deck of the riverboat where we were set up. Every time the boat would reach the end of the lake and start to turn around, It would list about 10 degrees and we had to dive to catch the speaker colums to keep them from going over, possibly ending up in Stone Mountain's Lake Venable. (Yes, the lake was named for the family who at one time owned the mountain...........the last owner was "THE Venable" as in KKK).
Great vid, Cutback!
