Hi all, I need a short scale guitar and was wondering which models had beefier necks ? I've checked out the Mustangs and Squier Jagmasters, but they seem to have thinner necks than I'd like. I've heard those SX short scales have chuncky necks, but I'm not interested in those.

Some of the AVRI Jags have more substantial necks. I think mine is 2000, and it isn't thick by any means, just thicker than most. You won't find many beefy neck short scales.

Also, 24" isn't shortscale, unless Strats/Teles are longscale.

The MIM Jaguars have what I consider to be thick necks. They're beefier than the AVRI Jaguars that I've either had or played and way beefier than the MIJ/CIJ necks.

Yes and T_Tom said, my MiM jag has a very full neck. Really fills your hand. Another option would be to get a neck from USACG, Guitarmill, Warmoth, etc. If you already have a bolt on guitar you like, it may be a cheaper option, with a better result, since it's still YOUR guitar, and it would be reversible.
