Ok, show in Philly was totally awesome as you can tell by unsteadyfredie's videos. Me and my friend Charles were right in the front and were about 3 feet away from Starcrunch! I got Charles to snap a couple pics during the show...they're not great quality, but still awesome.

Here are two pics of Starcrunch's pedalboard

From Starcrunch's view, top row, L to R: MXR M159 Stereo Tremolo, an Ernie Ball VP Jr, EHX micro-synth, and a TC Helicon Voicetone Synth.
Bottom row L to R: MXR Carbon Copy, a Sitori Sonics pedal(I'm guessing it's a custom pedal because it does not look like any of the ones on the site. It looks somewhat similar to the Tapeworm.), Sonic Research Turbo Tuner ST-200, and an MXR micro amp.
If anyone can help me better identify any of these, let me know.

I also got a setlist. It's ripped in half because starcrunch stepped on it during the set.

We were the ones trying to save Starcrunch when he tripped getting off stage in Freddie's Planet Collision video around 0:38 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3vIMNq_em0

I also asked Coco if I could play the theremin as he was running through the crowd. You can see us playing it at about 1:10 during Principles Unknown http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ry6a3o1tssM

After the show, I got to talk to all the members of the band. They were all really nice. I talked with Starcrunch and Victor Vector about their Hallmark guitars and other geeky stuff.

I even bought one of those fancy Couch guitar straps that's made from seat belts and got them to sign it.

Definitely the best concert of my life. Thanks for uploading those videos Unsteadyfreddie, they're great quality.

EDIT: Thanks for helping with the pedal ID, Morphball.

"Man Made of CO2" on the setlist? Awesome.

Definitely the highlight the last (and only) time I saw them.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

killbabykill34
THe 40 Watt didn't want them plugging the Tesla Coil in because, in the past, the thing shorted out the entire venue.

They said something to that effect during the show, but I thought it was just a concern. I didn't know it had ever actually happened. Ha!

And, again, if anybody can snag me a 7" and a guitar strap, I'd love you forever (and reimburse you).

I feel like an idiot for not actually going up to the merch table.

From Starcrunch's view, top row, L to R: ?(it's a tremolo pedal but I couldn't make out what it was), a volume pedal (not sure what brand), EHX micro-synth, and a TC Helicon Voicetone Synth(I actually asked what that one was).
Bottom row L to R: MXR Carbon Copy, a sitori sonics pedal(I'm guessing it's a custom pedal because it does not look like any of the ones on the site. It looks somewhat similar to the Tapeworm.), a tuner (I think), and an MXR micro amp.

Carol and I took a gander at his pedalboard too; the tremolo pedal is also an MXR, the volume pedal is an Ernie Ball VP Jr, and the tuner is a Sonic Research Turbo Tuner ST-200.

Found some excellent pics that I think were taken by a guy standing next to me at the concert. Super high quality and totally desktop-worthy.

He also got a great shot of Starcrunch's Sitori Sonics pedal.

Thanks Prof. Jim. It's always interesting to see what guitarists use as in their rigs. Is the Sitori box an overdrive/boost? With the three footswitches it seems to be a compressor and overdrive, or possible two mild boosts that can be ganged up when needed. Sorry if this is a little off topic.

The only thing it remotely matches on the website (as far as number of knobs etc) is the tapeworm: http://sitorisonics.com/sitorisonics.com/tapeworm.html

Can't wait to see MOAM tomorrow night! Which, btw, will be the first time my wife and I go out without our new baby. ..

Ah yes. See what you mean, Matt. In the Sitori description there is reference to it as solving all your flying saucer attack needs. Sounds right in Star Crunch ballpark.

Matt, enjoy the show!

Yeah, I'm not totally sure what it is but I think it's capable of making some crazy noises so definitely not a mild boot. Maybe like a bitcrusher or something like Death by Audio's Robot? You're probably right though, it may be more than one effect. I believe this was the pedal he was using to make all the crazy noises at the end of Principles Unknown. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ry6a3o1tssM

I meant to ask Starcrunch about the pedal after the show but I totally forgot.

Anybody get video from last night's Black Cat show? A decade later and MOAM? is still FULL ON!!!

Who else went to NYC last night? Bowery Ballroom was a pain in the ass to get to from NJ (train + cab + beers = expensive night out) but worth all the aggravation.

I was there last night.. was hanging out with Rattlesnake Ralph most of the night. We were looking for fellow SG101er's and didn't see any one we recognized. Good show though! I parked in the neighborhood and walked there.. it was actually hard to find in my opinion. Crappy area, I hate the lower east side. The venue is nice though.

Does MOAM ever tour out west? I've liked them since I first heard them in 97 and would have gone to any show I heard of.

It's likely they had and I just wasn't aware but I surely like to see them.

I haven't heard any firm West Coast dates (I thought they played a couple shows near Seattle a few months ago?), but I'd keep checking their Facebook page for updates:

Thanks. I saved the link to their facebook page.

Bill,

Back in the 90's they played the West Coast on a regular basis.

I saw them a few times,
and some of their authorized clone bands.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Thanks Jeff. Maybe one day they'll come back. I have a few of their discs but my favorite is "Made from Technetium". That really rocks.

headed out to the mideast downstairs for this show now! also interested in seeing dex romweber open up, never seen him play live.
