Hi I got a little question for the guys who play bass,
I don't play bass but my little sister want to play and I somebody offered me a sbv-500.
I love their guitars but I was wondering if somebody knows how there basses are ?

I never played a SBV-500. I am not a bass player.
But I`ve noticed always a great bass sound when I saw bands live playing with a Yamaha bass. Old or reissue, they sounded really good!
Get one if you find one for good money!
They also look unique on stage!
Proud member in the league of Yamaha Bananas.

Couldn't help but comment, these are my favourite basses.

They sound lovely, well built considering the price and really fun to play. I've got a much more expensive bass but always come back to my Yamahas.

Glad you like it, they are really lovely basses, it's a real shame yamaha stopped making them.
And if you suddenly decide you don't like it you know where you can sell it... just don't tell my girlfriend, she doesn't understand ;)
