So Norm when will you be doing some recording?
Geez, we still need to get a full set together for our first show on Sept 25. We don't get together too often to rehearse just yet, but once we kick it into high gear I want to record a 45 single. We already have three original songs written.

I posted elsewhere on forum...but Ed Roth actually put together a surf/hot rod band call Mr. Gasser and the Weirdos and cut an album called "Hot Rod Hootenany." Check it out! http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/7041159/a/Hot+Rod+Hootenanny.htm

Indeed. I know! It's actually not Ed Roth's band. It's a studio group, "The Wrecking Crew" with Gary Usher at the helm.

Ed Roth was part of the group of people behind the project and was actually considered to be doing some vocals. However, later in studio it became clear that he couldn't sing for his life and ended up only providing the "munching" sounds heard on some of the songs, haha.
And good luck with The Finksville 5 debut show, Norm! Wish I could be there!

Klas and Hodaddy... it's also Roth's voice saying "Mr. Gasser, man." at the beginning of that song. Roth also gets song writing credit (he provided the gearhead jargon) with songwriter Robert Klimes. Klimes's son is the voice of Big Al at Disney's Country Bear Jamboree!!
Mr. Gasser and the Weird-Ohs was never a real band but a studio concotion made for little kids. This stuff is a big inspiration for me and The Finksville 5, although mainly in spirit not in sound.
Thanks for the best wishes on the show, Klas. Wish you could be here to check it out too!!

Wow looks like a great time wish I could have been there!!!
Baron I have 2 questions for you...
What pickups are you using in that Jagmaster? I need to put something in my Silver Sparkle.
Where can I get one of those SWEET jackets?

Thanks Scott! We had a blast!
To answer your questions... My Jagmaster has two P-90 pickups. Man, I dig 'em! Here's where I ordered them... http://www.guitarfetish.com/P90-Guitar-Pickups_c_83.html
And the jackets are vintage. Let me tell ya, it took me a long time to find 5 matching vintage racing jackets, especially in XL. We added our own patches.
