I just discovered this kid on youtube and am blown away...I love this song but there are much better videos on there displaying his chops....

Did he write those songs? It sure doesn't look like he wrote what he was playing, and I know there are a lot of songs I recognize the names of.
If he didn't write them... who cares? He is just another virtuosic youngster who plays music as if it was learnt in a textbook. There are videos of many hundreds of kids below the age of 10 playing complicated pieces for instrument on youtube. And they all lack in emotion.
Do you think he will ever write his own music? Do you think he will ever show one ounce of originality in his music?

His Santana covers are the most egregious. I actually really like the Santana song "Europa", but not how it has ever been recorded.
Also, in that "band" BCV and Kohei, if BCV is the other guitarist, then he is MUCH better than Kohei. Both at rhythm and lead, which only goes to show that you can play something flawlessly and virtuosically, but still not quite right.
